How recruitment works
Five steps.
- Step 101
Info session
Hear what a project actually looks like and ask anything.
- Step 202
Coffee chats
Talk to a member one-on-one before you apply.
- Step 303
Application
A short form. No résumé polish required.
- Step 404
Interview
A conversation and a small case, together.
- Step 505
Decision
You hear back before the quarter's first project kicks off.
What we look for
Curiosity, rigor, follow-through.
We do not screen for a major or a résumé line. We look for people who ask a second question, who finish what they start, and who would rather understand a problem than sound smart about it.
Questions
Do I need consulting or business experience?+
No. We recruit for curiosity, analytical thinking, and follow-through, then train you. Most of our members are pre-health, biology, economics, or computer-science majors.
How much time does it take?+
Plan on two to four hours a week during a project, plus a weekly team meeting. Projects run for one academic quarter.
What will I actually do?+
Work in a team of four or five on a real client problem: interviews, research, analysis, and a final presentation the client uses.
Are there dues?+
Yes, sixty dollars per quarter, with accommodations available. Dues cover materials, events, and tools.
Which majors join?+
Any. Healthcare problems need scientists, builders, and communicators in the same room.
